Like similar initiatives elsewhere, the Velo Cape Breton Bicycle Friendly Program is based on the use of a certification mark identifying and publicizing accommodations that cater to bicycle tourists.

All properties listed on the above map are meeting the Velo Cape Breton Basic requirements of the Bicycle Friendly (BF) Network. i.e. bike rack/storage, cooking shelters at campgrounds, washing/drying facilities, bicycle related information/resources, healthy meals.
